Everything you need to know about using Sattren

01What is Sattren
Sattren is a pattern detection system for stock traders.
We scan the market daily and detect chart patterns on stocks you're watching. When a pattern forms, like a head and shoulders on AAPL or a falling wedge on NVDA, we send you an alert with a chart showing what we found.
We don't tell you to buy or sell. We don't give trading signals. We detect patterns and show you the data. What you do with it is up to you.
Think of us as automated chart analysis. We watch your stocks so you don't have to stare at charts all day.
02What Makes Us Different
We're obsessed with killing false signals.
Most pattern detection tools spam you with every little thing they find. A slight dip? Alert. A tiny bounce? Alert. You end up with 50 notifications a day and none of them mean anything.
We built Sattren to be the opposite.
Our adaptive system tests each pattern against years of historical data for each specific stock. We add random noise to the data and test again. We check if the pattern holds up on data it's never seen before. Only the patterns that survive all these tests make it to your phone.
We also limit how often we alert you. Same pattern on the same stock? We won't spam you for 5 days. Low confidence detection? We skip it. No volume confirmation? We skip it.
The result:
Fewer alerts, but each one actually means something.
Does this mean every alert is correct? No. Patterns are probabilities. But we filter out the garbage so you're not drowning in noise.
03How It Works
You add stocks to your watchlist. We scan them every day after market close.
Behind the scenes, our system ranks pattern strategies for each stock individually. What works on Tesla might not work on Apple, so we test and rank separately. We backtest against historical data, stress-test with simulated noise, and validate on unseen data.
When the market closes at 4:00 PM Eastern, we pull fresh data and check your watchlist. For each stock, we run the top 5 performing strategies. If a pattern is detected with high enough confidence, you get an alert.
The alert shows you the chart, the pattern name, confidence level, and key price levels. After that, we track what happens over the next 10 days to see if the pattern played out. This tracking data feeds back into the system to improve future rankings.
04Best Practices
Add stocks you're actually interested in
The system works best when you're watching stocks you plan to research or trade anyway. We're here to surface patterns you might have missed, not to pick stocks for you.
Pay attention to confidence levels
Higher confidence means the pattern is cleaner and more textbook. Lower confidence means it's borderline. You might want to focus on the stronger setups.
Don't treat alerts as buy signals
We detect patterns. That's it. You still need to check the news, look at fundamentals, consider your risk, and make your own call. We're one input in your process, not the whole process.
Use the risk analysis feature
Use it before making decisions. It shows potential downside scenarios based on Monte Carlo simulations.
05Troubleshooting
Not getting alerts?
Check that your stocks are added to your watchlist. Check your subscription to see if you've hit your alert limit. Also remember that patterns don't form every day. No alert can mean the market is quiet.
Alert didn't play out?
Patterns are probabilities. Even a historically strong pattern can fail. We filter out the noise, but we can't predict the future. Always manage your own risk.

Hit your limits?
Free accounts have a 1 stock watchlist and 1 alert per month. Premium removes these limits.
